The
used oils regeneration unit of SO.TU.LUB. operates
since 1985. it was initially conceived according
to a ground-process. This process was quickly proved
to be inefficient from an environmental view because
of the soils and acid tar accumulations on the plant
site that could not be flown out or treated. From
the financial view, this process shows also the
disadvantage of an expensive treatment cost with
regard to an important initial investment.
Since early 90’s, SO.TU.LUB. has started researches
and succeeded to set up a new technology for regenerating
used oils with a technical configuration much simpler
conciliating environment and economy. Further to
lab tests and pilot phase, this technology has been
tested with success within the existing installation
that has however undergone some modifications besides
the adding of some equipments.
